Mattress Fundraiser 2019
Band Parents,

We need your help!  Our Fourth Annual SCMS Band Mattress Fundraiser is October 26 (less than 2 weeks away!).  Customers can purchase high-quality NAME BRAND mattresses up to 50% off the retail price.  This has been a great fundraiser for the band and we can potentially make $10,000 in one day. The best part is that you don't have to sell anything!  We just need you to spread the word and get people to the event.

From 10 AM to 5 PM on Saturday, October 26, our cafeteria will be transformed to a mattress showroom by Custom Fundraising Solutions. Professional representatives from CFS are available that day to assist customers.

To learn more about the event, check out this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h_pQ6O8aVus

Every time a mattress is sold, the band earns money AND the student who referred the customer to the sale receives $25 cash!

Students may also pick up color fliers at school as well as door hangars to give to the neighbors. Yard signs are also available. Also watch for postings on the band's Facebook and Twitter accounts that you can share.

Remember, the key to success is YOU spreading the word.  Tell your friends, coworkers, and neighbors and be sure to share on social media.  Here are some important facts about the sale:

All Mattress Sizes Available

Includes Firm, Pillow-top, Orthopedic, Latex and Gel Memory Foam Sets

All mattresses are BRAND NEW with Full Factory Warranties

Adjustable Beds, Luxury Pillows and Mattress Protectors Available

Includes Name Brands like Simmons BeautyRest

Layaway and Delivery Available

Cash, Check, and Credit Card Available

Customers receive a free set of sheets with a mattress purchase over $499!

Thank you for making this year's event a success!

Mattress Fundraiser
Our mattress sale fundraiser is less than two weeks away!  The success of this event is completely dependent on you spreading the word! Please tell family, friends, neighbors, and coworkers.  The band can make $10,000 if we sell fifty beds.  Since almost every household needs to replace at least one bed and we have nearly 200 band members, finding 50 buyers should be a breeze!

SmartMusic (announcement for 7th/8th grade)
If your child exclusively uses Apple products to access SmartMusic, you should have received an email last week with instructions for setting up New SmartMusic.  Out of the thirty families who were sent the info, only four have followed the steps in the email (insert band director sad face here).  If you received that email, please follow the steps to set up your child's account ASAP.

Midstate Help Sessions 2019

Advanced Band Parents, the attached file shows the Midstate audition sessions you registered your child to attend.  Please make sure these are on your family calendar and that your child is prepared for their session.

2020 SCHS Band Trip Meeting (8th graders must attend with parents)

On Thursday, October 17, at 6:30 PM, the SCHS Band Directors will host a meeting to announce the dates, location, and details for next year's big band trip.  All SCMS Eighth Grade members must attend with their parents. MANY details will be discussed included the payment plan for the trip.  This will be an exciting time as our future Red Hawk Band members learn about this awesome opportunity. An email with more detailed information will be sent soon.

Laundry Detergent Pick-Up

Laundry detergent ordered during our recent Advanced Band fundraiser will be available for pick up from 3:00 to 5:00 on Thursday, October 3.  Please enter through the back doors. A signature will be required from the person picking up the order.  All orders must be picked up on Thursday.

Oct 15 Football Game - 8th Grade Recognition

Our eighth grade SCMS Band members will receive special recognition during a ceremony prior to our October 15th football game.

We would like for each 8th grade band student to be accompanied by at least one parent or guardian during the ceremony.  Parents should meet on the track in front of the home bleachers at 5:30.  Please wear business or business casual attire.

If you are unable to attend, we will arrange to have another adult stand with your child.

Please use the link below to RSVP.  This is due by 3:00 on September 30.
