About Me:

I’m so excited to be teaching 6th and 7th grade science this year! I bring a passion for both education and the natural world into my classroom, with a background in biology and years of experience teaching and supporting students of all backgrounds. Before returning to the science classroom, I spent time teaching ESL and leading curriculum efforts, always with the goal of helping every student succeed.

I’ve done hands-on fieldwork in both Tennessee and Costa Rica, and I love making science come alive through real-world connections, experiments, and student-led inquiry. Whether we’re exploring ecosystems, energy, or the structure of matter, I strive to create a learning environment that is engaging, supportive, and rooted in curiosity.
