Help with Math
Improving Math Gaps:
The first thing you can do is to ensure you know your multiplication facts (0-12s) fluently. You can buy/make flashcards or download fun math apps (with parents' permission) to make it more interesting. Practice for 15-20 minutes, three or four times a week.
To help with math gaps, students can spend about 40 minutes each week on SuccessMaker working on their individualized lessons. This program is connected to our textbook and is designed to meet students where they are and where they struggle. Students can log in to SuccessMaker through the Savvas App on their Clever account. Clever can be found on the red banner at the top of our school’s website: http://scm.rcschools.net.
Several parents have asked for websites/apps to help with math practice. There are many different sites/apps that students can use for practice. If you search in your device’s App Store, you can find lots of different useful apps that could appeal to your child. Using Google (or any internet search engine) can yield even more results for websites. Here are a few that I or other teachers have used in the past.
