SEPA Payment - Past Due
Unless you submitted a request for your child to be excused from SEPA, they were registered for the event and our band booster organization has paid their non-refundable registration fee to the Middle Tennessee School Band and Orchestra Association.
The SCM Music Boosters has already emailed you an invoice so they can be reimbursed for your child's fee. The fee is $7. A few students (6th grade percussionists, for example) may have been registered for two events, in which case the fee is $14.
The due date to pay that invoice was March 31. If you have not yet paid your invoice, please do so as soon as possible.
Solo and Ensemble Performance Assessment (SEPA) - April 15
There are two sides to our upcoming SEPA event. First, the majority of our SCMS Band members will perform solos throughout the day. Second, SCMS is serving as the host school for this this event which is organized by the Middle Tennessee School Band and Orchestra Association (MTSBOA). There are over 1100 students from schools throughout our region participating on our campus that day! Below is important information for our SCMS student performances as well as information about our responsibilities as the host school.
SCMS Performances:
Next Monday, we will send a "SEPA Survival Guide" which includes all you need to know about where to park, how to check in, warm-up/performance procedures, attire requirements, etc. For now, it is important to note that students are assigned a window of time (either 8:00-12:30 or 1:00-4:00) in which to complete their performance. To see your child's assigned time window, please check the document posted on our band classroom website. Students can come by any time during their assigned time window and perform for the first available judge for their instrument. Your child's time on campus can range from one to three hours depending on how busy the judges are when your child arrives. If, for some reason, your child cannot participate during their assigned time window, they may perform during the other time of day. We just ask that you make every effort possible to stick to your child's assigned time window.
Hosting Responsibilities (Parent Volunteers Needed!):
As hosts for this large event, we are required to provide breakfast and lunch for our guest judges and run a concession stand for visiting students and parents. We need SEVERAL parents to volunteer time and/or donate items to make the event a success. Please click here to sign up for one of the following:
