Honor Choir Information

 

 

Students at Stewarts Creek Middle can audition for MTVA Honors which is the choral equivalent of Midstate. The best singers in Middle Tennessee are accepted into this honor choir. Auditions will take place before Fall Break and the rehearsal/performance date will take place on the following January. Mr. Gregory will send more detailed information following auditions.

 

6th Grade:
My Country 'Tis of Thee in the key of G major

 

7th & 8th Grade: 
My Country 'Tis of Thee in the following key based on voice part
Soprano - A major

Alto - D major

Tenor - B major

Bass - D major

 

Then students will need to sing this Latin piece on their voice part.

We will be having an MTVA Honor Choir Clinic at Rocky Fork Middle School on Saturday, September 16th from 9 am until 12 pm. This will be for 7th and 8th Grade students ONLY. It is not mandatory but HIGHLY recommended.
