Reading consistently during the extended closure and summer is crucial to developing
lifelong readers. The books and authors in the reading list below are suggestions only. We
hope that parents/guardians will be active participants in their children’s extended closure
and summer reading and will encourage setting individual goals. We ask that
parents/guardians work with their children to choose books that would be suitable. Have a
safe extended closure and summer!

RESOURCES TO GET BOOKS
Get a Rutherford County Library Card
1) Go to the Linebaugh Library System's main website and find "Click here
to get an ecard". https://rclstn.org/
2) 2. Enter all of the required information. The PIN that you are asked to
enter is a number that you makeup on your own that you will remember.
3) 3. You will receive an ecard library number. WRITE THIS NUMBER DOWN OR
ENTER THE NUMBER IN THE NOTES SECTION OF YOUR PHONE so you won't forget
it. This is the only way you will have access to the electronic resources.
4) 4. Download the free Libby app on your device or on your computer. You will be
asked to enter your library - select Linebaugh Public Library and enter the ecard
number that you wrote down in step 3. Or you can read ebooks or listen to
audiobooks directly from your computer using the Rutherford County Library
System website.
